When we go to a sports even inside, the cheerpersons come around and try to get everyone to yell LOUDER. Then they heave a rolled up team teeshirt up into the stands where “it was loudest”. M. “Express” deliverer could just toss ’em.
(I have no idea what caused this ‘toon in Danzigers’ head)
Must be Fed Ex. They took over picking up packages from another delivery company, at a business where I knew some of the guys that worked there. For three days they didn’t pick up any packages. Apparently, the Fe Ex driver thought they should see his truck and bring the packages out to him. Crazy. Since, the Fed Ex CEO would give tickets to some sporting events or another to the CEO of the other company, so they were stuck with poor service.
Most of my shopping is done online so I get pkgs from Amazon, UPS, USPS, and FedEx. The ones from FedEx are the ones most damaged and the ones that most often miss the expected delivery date.
I got a package from UPS yesterday, which, if I had not happened to look up the tracking number I had been given by the shipper several days ago, I would NOT have known had been delivered to the community drop box about a mile from my house. No message from UPS advising me of the delivery whatsoever.

Another accurate depiction of a New England former mill town by Danziger. (Living here gives one a fairly mordant sense of humor.)
