He submitted that reducing the need for abortions by having fewer unwanted preganacies was something we could all agree on.-The Republican response was to scream ‘Baby Killer!’, facist, and accused him of racial genocide and the like. I believe he was genuinely surprised by the response.-This was way back when he believed that he could work with Republicans to find common ground. -We now know that even if common ground were found, Republicans would filibuster.
