They can tell if something is bothering us by how we "look" on the inside! for example, your insides probably look like the world is ending. Crunchy: this explains the commotion I caused at seaworld last summer.
Actually, there were and are a few wild animals that seek out human companionship. That’s probably how cats domesticated themselves.
