… a decline in the comic. A classic example is seen in “Garfield” “Garfield” was once wonderful and classic, but now it is little more than a ridiculous rendition of its former self. This was shown very expertly in the short-run comic parody called “Garfield Minus Garfield” in which some group published versions of “Garfield” strips with the cat’s image and dialogue removed. “Garfield Minus Garfield” actually was much funnier and more relevant than the actual “Garfield”. So, in a nutshell, my tally is my effort to a) show my appreciation for “Jump Start” and to b) identify those story arcs that (in my opinion) are not helpful in keeping “Jump Start” the excellent comic it is. These arcs have typically revolved around a) Snoog-A-Boo doing things that are not able to be accomplished by actual dogs, b) the babies yelling for their lawyers, and c) when Jojo is so full of himself that he does things that do not feel “real”.
