Yes, it does seem that when you’re in a rush, there’s often something that gets in your way and slows you down still more. But even that’s beside the point, because even if you’re not in a hurry, all those little (and sometimes big) impediments aggravate all the same; their very presence is an irritant because it feels as if they were purposely put there to thwart you.
