Marcy: Your mother is a retired rteacher. we can ask her to tutor in math. Joe: Mom taught english. Shes obsessed with it! she'll spend the entire session correcting Jojos grammar! I believe you can make JOJO faster, better and smarter. Than what? you are asserting that one thing is being compared to something else. Please clarify!
actually, you don’t have to be the best math whiz there is in order to teach it. in fact, being really good at it might be a detriment.sometimes it’s hard not to skip a bunch of steps, and the student won’t be able to follow along. if both of you are Dummies, you can both learn the stuff together.it’s like Sherlock Holmes and Watson — Sherlock is 14 steps ahead of everybody, then says, “Elementary!” while Watson is still trying to figure out where he left his tea-bag. even when he’s explaining his process of deduction, he’s still going to skip 7 steps, and Watson still won’t have a clue or a proper cup of tea!of course, the problem here is, Mom will be spending all the time correcting Jojo’s English, and forget all about Math! Jojo will be able to spell the answer, but unable to compute it!
