How does a small dog get up there?

Took me a second or two, thinking that these were some sort of envelopes at first…

I have my stockings attached to paperweight like decorations. Our pug doesn’t go anywhere near them. She heard them fall once…terrified her!

He was powerless to stop that big guy in a red suit, but at least he saved you from the dreaded Sockness menace! Who’s a good boy?

Where are the goats that Sunny said were going to be on the tree (see yesterday’s strip for reference)?

He’s under one of the kids bed, scrunched up tight against a corner. Joe will never get him out, from that defensive position he is all teeth.

He hates socks of any kind

Bad dog!

Looks like Mortimer won’t be getting any presents, since bad dogs don’t deserve any.

That’s what you get for not giving him a stocking, too!

That dog needs serious training if he’s that destructive.

At first I couldn’t figure out what Mortimer did. Marcy appears to be looking at the tree, not the stockings.

I thought the fire burned them when I first read the comic. We always take ours down in our Living Room if we are going to use the fireplace.

I do not get the humor here.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

So Mortimer the dog chewed them each all away.

Come on, Mortimer! None of those stockings had eyes, I’ll wager!
