It just gives new meaning to the term “long distance relationship”.

Because he forgot to vote? That was careless but doesn’t seem like a marriage dealbreaker. And it baffles me that they’re married and yet she didn’t know who he would have voted for and didn’t know that he didn’t vote until a week after the election. Maybe that’s the problem – they don’t communicate.

How sad and shallow that Dana’s concept of a “happy marriage” appears to be based on her attitude and reaction to her husband’s error instead of love and devotion and tolerance and understanding. In real life I wouldn’t bet money on this marriage to be a lasting one. In the comics — this is supposed to be funny!

There’s a learning experience going on here. Dana has to learn Delray has things that she either has to learn to live with, or she has to learn to live around. Same with Delray. Marriage isn’t a game with points & scores & one side winning. Nor is it changing yourself to be what the other person wants/needs/thinks you should be. It is a growing together, learning how to be a better person, no-such-thing-as 50-50 life, with the added benefit of support from somebody who probably knows you better than you know yourself. I can say this, b/c the Hubs & I now have 44+ years under our belts.

Had to convince my future with that I wasn’t perfect. After she downgraded me to best ever, we got married. Later I met a couple of her priors … I understand where she was coming from.

she knew who/how he was before she married him. if he didn’t measure up to her standards she shouldn’t have married him.

Only reason my wife knows who I voted for, was that except for one local, we were on the same page, this time.

Do NOT make those comparisons! My best friend’s has always disliked my wife, because he early on said, “Why can’t you be more like Bill’s wife?”
