You can get turntables pretty much anywhere that sells electronics since vinyl has made a limited comeback. They aren’t hard to find at all. It won’t be a high end stereo system but it’ll play your record.

Also, Nicole should pay attention to the fact that Marcus cares only about the album and doesn’t care about their honeymoon.

There are other ways to fill in the time.

For a guy supposedly on his honeymoon, Marcus appears to forgotten whet a honeymoon is for!

I’m thinking either Nicole is being sarcastic, and Marcus doesn’t “get” it, or she’s the most understanding wife in the world…

Years ago I was in Amsterdam for a couple of weeks. On one of my first days, I picked up several LPs I was eager to hear, but had no access in my room to a turntable. I simply packed ’em and took ’em home and heard them then.

But, of course, acting sensibly doesn’t work in comic strips- it doesn’t make for good gags.

That’s just plain nuts. Oh, I like LP’s, but I’d like Hawaii more.

Hiss pop hiss pop hiss pop crackle pop hiss hiss pop… I don’t miss it.

That’s probably the TBI talking. Too bad.

I’m betting next strip, Nicole is on the phone with Marcy complaining about Marcus’s obsession with that LP.

I still have my old turntable but haven’t used it in quite a while. I gave my other turntable to my oldest brother back in 1992.

Maybe he’ll go to extravagant lengths to play it – and discover it’s badly scratched…

Gotta wonder where his head is at that he’s not in some hotel room jumping Nicole’s bones.
