Many years ago, when I taught Language Arts to high school students in North Georgia, Henry Winkler fell asleep in my fifth period class. (No, not THAT Henry Winkler.) The rest of the class took notice and pointed him out to me.
He slept undisturbed till the end of class… and the other students took the cues from me NOT to wake him. They slipped out silently as I stood in the doorway and signaled the incoming sixth period class to speak quietly and take their seats.
When they were all in place, I stood next to his desk and woke him up. It was pretty funny to see him try to figure out why his classmates had vanished and been replaced by others. He took the gag well, as I knew he would. I even wrote a note for him to give his sixth period teacher asking her to excuse his tardiness and saying that I had held him back for a couple of minutes to help me with a small task.
Needless to say, it was the talk of the whole school for a couple of days.

Actualy, she shouldn’t wake him up. Let a teacher do that.

It was always hard for me to sleep in class. I just drew some small pictures on my worksheets or workbooks.

Every teacher should make this kid sit in the front row.
