Here’s a crazy idea. Maybe we should let our economy return to being a broad network of small businesses which have much greater flexibility collectively to handle economic shifts. Large corporations require big solutions for big problems.

Rather than handing trillions of dollars over to sick enterprises, I would have accepted business plans to found 10,000 new ones, fully funded with ‘venture capital’ from the good ole USA and let the old ones rot.
Small business is the backbone of our economy, so why are we doing nothing whatsoever to support it, and instead funding the very businesses which cause them to fail?
