Bug Blog by Cuco Rocha Miseducator Romney Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has said that public classroom size is not important, and small class size may even be harmful. He must be worried that students might get lonely in classes of under 40 students.
To pretend that class size does not affect learning is to ignore a wealth of research that has found that class size does affect learning. Romney’s statement just shows that he has been fully assimilated into the radical right which will never let any fact get in the way of their ideological rigidity. Today’s Republicans are just like the Communists — they think the world must function according to their political ideology even though there is no evidence that it ever could. Mind you, I’m not saying today’s GOP is Communist; it just shares that characteristic with the Communists.
