    the kid singing the song stepped forward and apologized, saying he never even considered he was racist.and if he never got caught, he would keep doing things like that, never thinking he was racist.

    If every child was sent to live at least 800 miles away from their home after graduating from high school, a lot of the divisiveness would disappear. The best decision I made was to join the US Military directly after graduation. :-)) I had no choice but to get along with all those weird people! And I met some very nice people, too.

    Good post. If potential senators and congressmen were required to have a military background things might look a lot better on the political front. Less wars, more dilgence on use of taxpayer funds, less racism. This is not to say that racism does not exist in the miltary, some of the most racist sob’s I ever met in the naval shipyard were ex navy or marines. But by and large they kept it too themselves.
