Aw, C’mon, Lalo! We know where your loyalties lie, but You’re making a serious mistake serious slander here. Republicans have lots of flaws to exploit; Hillbilly Elegy is not one of them —it’s a classic!

Why did Vance say incredibly stupid things to the dishonest cowardly imbecile Tucker Carlson? Because that’s who he was TALKING to at the time!

Blaming others for your own failures is a conservative trait. Hypocrisy, thy name is conservative.

I’ll call it fiction and leave out the fact-checking.

I didn’t view Hillbilly Elegy as even purporting itself to represent all people from Appalachia. I thot it was an in-depth look at how some of them had been horribly exploited and turned to drugs, despair, suicide, divorce, and surrender. I found it to be a deeply moving account of human suffering. At the time Vance wrote it, I figured he was expressing empathy for, and solidarity with, them. But by all accounts Vance has subsequently undergone some kind of sea change that’s had an even more dramatic effect on him than Bobby Junior’s brain worm had on him.

I would no more visit J D Vance’s home and sit on his couch than I would have dinner at the Portnoy’s.

    For the same reason.

‘Wonder how many ’get’ this reference?

I have to admit it’s a lot of fun listening to lefties whine. It will be even more fun after November 5th.
