Let’s remember the sacrifices our founders made in the belief we can have a government that serves us and look what we’ve gone and done. Even though they set up checks and balances. we still managed to screw it up. Let’s fix this and get back to the way it was designed.

Uncle Sam is displaying his unique ventriloquist act, with his dummy seated on his shoulder instead of on his lap. All kidding aside, have a safe and happy 4th of July, everyone!

I miss riding on my father’s shoulders so long ago.

Curious – both of these guys look somewhat deranged. I wonder what the original full 1942 story was about.

The Republicans on the SCOTUS pretty much ruined this 4th.

Let’s hope that the Independence part stays after the election.

Today is our anniversary. We were married 52 years ago today. Unfortunately my wife died in ‘20 so we didn’t get to celebrate our 50th. Our small town has a huge parade every year. She had been looking forward to the ‘22 parade for several years. She had a 1964 Ford Galaxie she wanted to decorate with a big sign saying we were married 50 years ago but didn’t live to see it. I don’t even go the the parade any more. It’s just too painful.
