Soylent Green?

How many times have you wiped out humanity by now?

Aliens love Vegans.

They taste like chicken.

Because this is actually how it’s going on?

Not really, the story line just fits our hatred for ourselves.

90+% of what an animal eats goes into running its metabolism and 10% or less to creating biomass. So you’ll have to eat ten people to create biomass for one person. Each generation has only 10% as much food as the previous one. Of course, since they ate all the women, there won’t BE any more generations.

When they ate enough people, wouldn’t there be room to start planting crops again?

So this happens after the inauguration, I take it.

I ate my girlfriend a few days ago and she’s still running around.

Planet 4 in the Vega system is run by gentle intelligent carnivorous spideroids. More like mammals in their physiology, also they don’t eat other intelligent species.

What is the moral of the story? Don’t think something finite is infinite, it never is.Too bad they didn’t take samples to re-create humanity.

(Of course, all residents of Vega are Vegans — by definition.)
