While Frank’s timidity has truly earned him his loneliness, I don’t see how Brandy’s predicament is ALSO his fault. She’s a grown woman who relented to a manipulative mother and an entitled boyfriend. Both see her as little more than a trophy whose value lies primarily in the man who wins her. If she feels that Frank failed in not “rescuing” her like a helpless princess, then she’s as weak as he is.
