Really like to read about some of those adventures mentioned above. I just want to explain several of the terms seen above and to what they refer.
Joan L. Sullivan is a comic reference to John L. Sullivan, first heavyweight champ of the world. And the Six Lessons from Adam Lazonga referred to a song entitled Six Lessons from Madame La Zonga, a hit in 1940 about getting Latin dance lessons sung by Helen O’Connell. Unfortunately I don’t know what Burpinyore refers to.
