Bubble: AHHHHH! Bubble: Wha--?! No! NOO! Bubble: GAHHH -- BLORP. WORD BUBBLES
I could have had a lot of fun with those…
Or an elephant.;)
is this the second occurrence of word balloons in Lio?
Not only no word balloons in Lio (ordinarily), but not even the much smaller word bubbles!BLORP!
We already know that word balloons aren’t allowed …apparently bubbles aren’t either…?
Oh well, I think Lio is funnier without the talking (it’s part of his charm)
Did you ever blow bubbles when you were a kid?
It never had a chance in that environment.@Arch Stanton: I hear the come in colors now.
[To borrow 2 lines from another strip about a six year old boy…].How existential can you get? Or….A casualty of applied metaphysics.
This will probably be the closest Lio will ever get to talking.
Perhaps she had an unfortunate encounter with a bubble in a previous life.
Word bubbles: The kind that pop into your head . . .
More like Gahan Wilson than R Crumb, imho.
I’ll have take my blow bubbles outside again today. I didn’t hear that pleasing blorp that Lio has. Then again, I’m still learning a lot from Lio.

Hee hee hee!
Not many dictionary words in that set.
He floats thought balloons too. They last longer but then just fade away.
Ah, the extra-fragrant kind?
MT’s saving up all the word bubbles for Heart.
If someone could produce “word bubbles” (especially obscene ones), kids would buy them.
Looked like the life span of a bubble in three panels.
Don’t really see R. Crumb in this but I think we can agree all three are comic geniuses. (or is that geniui?)
