Gotta watch where you put that purple crayon, Harold.

Lio’s artwork is so lifelike! (Go away, Harold! This comic is too rich and fattening for you!)

Ha ha! We were just reminiscing about the first books we remembered reading as a child, and I said, “Remember that kid with his purple crayon? That one!”

Harold: “Give me back my purple crayon, you cowlick freak!”

Is anyone younger than a baby boomer going to get the reference?

Well, the book is still in print, so here’s hoping.

If I remember it correctly, Lio and Harold has something in common: niether of them speak. (Ofcourse it’s been a long time since I read the Harold and His Purple Crayon book, so maybe he does and I just don’t remember it)

The recent arc where Lio was drawing things reminded me of Harold—and here he is now! I love both Lio’s and Harold’s expressions.

Harold and the Purple Crayon! That was my mom’s favorite book series when she was a kid!

If you don’t get the reference, look it up. It’s pretty simple. It’s sort of how life works now, what with the Google and all.
