Physics (acceleration, force, gravity, etc), geography (since he’s getting an aerial view), meteorology (from studying the clouds up close), engineering (how to build the trebuchet), math (how far can he go), history (art of medieval weaponry), anatomy (when he has to patch up his wounds and set his broken bones.)
