This strip made me look up this “hamburger helper” I never heard about. My …. . I get why this one could be considered an Halloween creepy story.

I’m not a big fan of Hamburger Helper, so it wouldn’t have taken Lefty acting like a total d*** to make me lose my appetite.

“Ahhhh! Thats not any better!”

Cousin Eddie: I don’t know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don’t you, Clark?

Clark Griswald: You’re the gourmet around here, Eddie.

I’ve never understood why the name includes “helper.”

“Cafetorium”??

Hamburger Helper was a staple of my college apartment days.

We ate Hamburger Helper when I was in high school. There were several types, and they were actually pretty good. It’s called “helper” because it helps stretch the family’s budget by using the same amount of hamburger to make about twice the amount of food. We ate Tuna Helper, too, which I liked.

Looks like payback from dear old Dad. : )
