As far as I’m concerned, the first time there’s snow, it’s winter. Hubby and I got to talking and we think the longest day of the year and the shortest day of the year are actually the middle of summer and the middle of winter respectively, rather than the first day of each. To us, that made more sense.
How is it not winter yet, Tortie? It’s after December after all…to be honest, where I’m at, for the snow not to show up until today would make it actually rather late.

a few weeks ago my stepdaughter got an entire winter of snow … me, i got maybe 8 inches of snow and i am 14 miles away
