Oh wow, today’s strip actually builds on yesterday’s! I don’t believe I’ve ever seen The Lockhorns do a story arc before.

If Leroy gives an amount for every year they’ve been happily married, he could pay for that gift card out of pocket change.

I haven’t followed this strip long, my question is what had she given Leroy in past anniversaries or for this one? It is a two-way street and there is also their financial health as a couple. Cents… that’s funny lol

I don’t see why Loretta seems upset. Unless she feels slighted at the amount, I’d think she would be happy at the idea of buying something she really wants, instead of someting Leroy picked up seemingly without much thought.

Leroy is a hopeless romantic.
