I read recently of someone’s runaway (and I use the word lightly) tortoise that was found 30 miles away and returned because of the embedded chip.

A dog scooting across the carpet doesn’t mean it has worms. Some breeds of dogs have problems with impacted anal glands and they need to be squeezed either by a vet or many grooming salons will do it.
