There are multiple species of mouth-brooding fish, various of the cichlids being among the most familiar to aquarium keepers. Amazing to see the young, as they begin to explore their habitat on their own. When danger threatens, they swim right back into their parent’s waiting mouth.

Over a decade ago, my wife and I babysat a young girl every weekend. I learned about many of the kid’s shows, from Dora the Explorer to Thomas the Train to Wonder Pets……and on and on and over and over again. Great times. Wonderful memories.

Way back when my oldest grandson was little, and he and my daughter were living with me, I swear I knew all the Sponge Bob episodes by heart, along with every other kid’s cartoon show on television at the time.

There is such a thing as karma, however … He now has a little daughter of his own, and is learning firsthand the joys of watching My Little Pony or whatever cartoon programs for petite princesses are now airing on t.v. !

Those kids should be off in school.

(Seriously, in 10 hours, no one else thought of that one?)

Sheriff John. Captain Jet. Skipper Frank. Engineer Bill. And Tom Hatten in the ship’s store. Memories if you grew up around LA in the 50s. And Nutsy the Clown with his Peanut Circus.
