In 1967, The Prisoner, was a great British television series starring Patrick McGoohan. It was surreal and thought provoking. It was not for the typical American audience. Way ahead of its’ time……government powers using drugs and mind control to keep the populace in line.
Regardless of whether true original “Prisoner” series ran in the correct sequence is irrelevant. It was a very though provoking show when it first aired back in 1967.As I recall, it reappeared a few years ago, and I tried to catch all the episodes; but unfortunately, I failed. I am going to purchase the set on DVD soon.
I think you all might be overthinking this. For their honeymoon they stayed at a quaint seaside resort, played with the giant beach ball, and went on Helo rides.

Just taking the cartoon w/o deep meanings: who is sitting down watching TV and who’s doing the household work? Who’s in prison???
