William Tell made overtures to Newton, but he didn’t understand the gravity of the situation.
Do tell!
As I suspected, William Tell the folk hero pre-dates Newton the very well self-documented person by a couple of centuries.
An arrow a day keeps the theories away.
Now Newton will have to see his doctor. (I wonder how many generations away is Jimmy Neutron?)
A time traveling William Tell.
I bet Bills mother said “William! This not the time nor the place for this”!
He lived to Tell the tale
William didn’t tell. So it was new to Mr. Newton.
An arrow escape.
It’s an appealing theory at it’s core.
Anyone who had fired an arrow a long distance might eventually have discovered gravity.
Did you know that William Tell and his son bowled in a league? Unfortunately there is no record of the sponsors so no one knows for whom the Tells bowled.
If you archer who William Tell is, look it up.
Besides calculus and all that physics work, Newton invented the cat door. That’s real genius.
I want the guy with bow on my Zombie-apocalypse squad!
It’s more plausible than a lot of today’s theories!
Newton didn’t give a fig about William Tell!
