Word for Mac still has no real competition.) Windows would then have been Win 3.x, and Word for Windows was… primitive, being based on Word for Mac v 1.05 from 1985, with some features from Word for Mac 3. Word for Windows didn’t catch up to Word for Mac or Word for DOS until Office 95 .) I haven’t used a typewriter, other than addressing envelopes or typing labels or similar, since 1983-4.
