I think when this cartoon was written the average American woman’s weight was 125. Now it’s about 165.
Decades later….body dysmorphia is still a danger to health….even boys, even adults, suffer from it. Anorexia and bulimia are just a couple of the eating disorders. We just don’t do enough for better mental and emotional support.
You can blame Jackie Kennedy for the craze of never too thin.
You forgot to mention if the starlets smoke two packs a day to quell their appetites.
