Wait.

Are We saying that guys shop more efficiently??

This is not going to go well.

I shop so that the things I want together in a bag end up together in the cart. I can’t help it if the store is badly designed.

Mom is also not considering that whatever she puts on top in the buggy is scanned first and placed on the bottom by the store baggers who don’t worry at all about squishing the fruit.

Dad’s know best sometimes…..

Since I worked near the grocery industry (marketing research) I always did the grocery shopping. My kids loved being sent to find stuff (beginning right after they learned to walk). I’d surreptitiously watch them when they were young, of course.

Before we left the SF Bay Area for here we shopped at a big chain store store that said they had a personalized shopping experience. Well, we could build a list and we had to select which store we were shopping at for some reason. We could alphabetize the list or break the list into categories like Frozen Food; Meat & Seafood; Deli: Fruits and Veggies and such. but It did not have the option, or capability, of listing the items by they were aisle placed. You would think if they asked for the address of the store they would have information on how the store was laid out. But that would make it too convenient for customers.

My wife start at the opposite ends of the store and meet in the middle. Only saves us 10 minutes but neither of us have to put up with the eccentricities of the other’s shopping habits.

Different systems.

Different outcomes.

Exactly opposite of my parents; Dad was the organized one, Mom, not so much — they were well-matched and I miss them every day ♥♥
