Okay to quote a golden god, i’ve held back my rage as long as possible but I shall unleash it upon this storyline like the crashing of a thousand waves!Look i’ve seen worse but this storyline is just not great. For starters i’ts hard for me to ignore FoxTrot having done a similar storyline very early on, where Andy, after meeting an old friend of hers who choose a career while Andy choose becoming a homemaker, decides to try and shake up her life starting with her hair. There the Hair is just part of something bigger and Roger isn’t bothered by it: he mistakenly makes Andy thinks he hates it because he’s talking about his beer, haw haw, but he’s more concerned she’s not satsified with their life and dosen’t get why she isn’t (Because he’s a moron but we don’t have time to go into Roger’s ingrained sexisim or stupidity here). It’s more intresting and while it wasn’t used to it’s full potetial, i’ts hard not to compare the two when they have the same starting point but end up in stupidly diffrent places.
Here.. Frank is just upset his wife shaved an inch off her hair and it’s less wavy. That’s it. I simply checked back a week to before this storyline started, and that’s ALL that’s changed. It’s more angular and it’s shorter. It’s also why I compare it to fox trot as the haircut there was the same. It is not a big deal nor should it be. Yet frank acts like she died it, restyled it more radically, side shaved it , or something more radical (Though I do think Nancy could pull it off, that’s not the point). She just had a slight hair cut and restyling. He’s reacting to sometyhing that happens to most people like Nancy came back riding a dinosaur.. which while awesome and a storyline that should happen, you have my full unconditonal support to use it uncredited Gregg and Daughter, isn’t what happened. It comes off like Frank has way more issues if he reacts this badly to the smallest change in his wife.
Having been a hairdresser at one point, women change their hair style because a: they are bored with the style. B: They want to look younger or older if they are young. C: They want the latest style because they want to be current. D: They want a new look. They are the same with clothes. Which is why we have 5 outfits for every one our husband has.

And ALWAYS it comes down to: “Does this dress make me look fat?”
Whatever answer you give Frank will be the “wrong” one so you may as well tell the truth.
“Nancy! I can’t believe you paid good money for that!”
