    And don’t forget the “ugly duckling” stages. That is about sophomore year and maybe 7th. And for some, we never left that stage except for a brief moment when someone felt sorry enough for us to marry us and stayed married to us for 20 years.

    Reminds me of a drawing I saw. It was a drawing of the same woman at 5 different weights: What women think they look like, what women actually look like, what men prefer, what women think men prefer, and what women want to look like.

    Guys didn’t at that age didn’t care much, except maybe when our voices changed and hair started to grow where it never grew before. Hair still does that today for us ilder guys. It grows in places where it never grew before, and doesn’t grow and stops growing where you want/need it most…..

    And many times teens develop body image distortions and eating disorders and other problems take hold. Thank dog our girls did not.
