Pitt did not have a budget cinema? I know Tampa had a couple of those which charged about half the regular price of a ticket at the Cobb, AMC or Regal cinemas (like $3 or $4 instead of the $7 or 8 back in the mid ’90s)? Then again, Luann probably was not interested in seeing movies that were out already for a few weeks and were relegated to the budget cinemas and only wanted the first run premieres otherwise she could have just settled for a flick from Blockbuster or Movie Gallery in 1996.
When my kids were young, I was often asked by co-workers if I had seen “Film X.” I would explain that, unless it was a thing I wanted to see NOW, I would wait for the video tape. If it’s an R film, I had to pay to get in, pay for snacks, pay for dinner, and pay for a sitter. If it’s a G film, I had to pay for four tickets, snacks all around, and dinner. that came to $75 – $90 to see a film.
You’re as worthless as your solutions, Frank. The day after you die, Nancy, Brad and Luann will just cremate you in the furnace and dump you in the river, because I’m certain you wouldn’t shell out a nickel for your own grave!

Won’t be long before kids will have to learn how to read a book for real.

Books are expensive, too. If she goes to the library, she’ll probably need a ride.

The Greta Gerwig version or the Winona Ryder version?

Read it, Luann. It’s a great book! After that one, read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

I watched the 1949 version of that movie recently. The actress who played Jo, Ellie Geisman (AKA June Allyson) was 32 when the movie was made.

Yes, now what’s the most crippling spot on Frank’s body where Luann can stab him with it?

Requires no batteries. Caution: may contain wisdom of the ages.

The banana leaves a lot to be desired, though.
