Luann: Dear diary: this is an entry about Knute. Luann: A guy who thinks the Iliad and the Odyssey are nintendo games. Mr. Fogarty: Knute, you claimed you lost your last three homework assignments. Now what about the homework I gave yesterday? did you "lose" it, too? knute: Funny you should ask, Mr. Fogarty. Knute: It's weird- I, like, totally spaced what I did with it. Mr. Fogarty: Gee. What a surprise. Knute: I know I copied the assignment down in my notebook...and I know I took my notebook home. Knute: And right before I went to bed, I, like, put all my school stuff next to the door so I wouldn't forget anything in the morning. Knute: And I brought it all back to class- I mean, here it is... Mr. Fogarty: knute, did you do the assignment? Fwak! Oh man! Knute: Well, hey-at least I didn't lose it this time! Mr. Fogarty: You lost it years ago.
