Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for October 13, 1991
Transcript:
Luann: Dear diary: Here's a really funny story about feeling totally awkward and embarrassed and stupid! Luann: Actually, it's only funny 'cuz it's not about me.. Luann: Just a sec, Brad. I want to try on a couple of these. Brad: Oh swell. Brad: I hate it when you do this. Luann: I'll only be a minute. Here, hold this. Brad: I feel like some kinda pervert standin' here around all these... Woman: May I help you? Brad: Huh? Oh, no, no. I'm just looking.... Brad: I mean, I'm not looking... I'm just...standing. Just standing and not looking at anything... Woman: Cute purse. Brad: Oh. My sister gave it to me. I mean, to hold. Hmmmm Woman: Well, let me know if you need any help. We have a sale on girdles. Brad: Actually, I was just headin' over to sporting goods to check out the weights and footballs and stuff. Luann: Ok. I'm done. Everything felt all weird and uncomfortable. Brad: Tell me about it.
Of course, if he’d just told the clerk that he was holding his sister’s purse to begin with, it wouldn’t have been as funny.
