Frank drinks a cup of coffee. Nancy looks at at Playboy. Frank says, "When I was Brad's age, I hid Playboy in my room, yet I turned out fine." Nancy says, "Whatever, but that's not what worries me." Nancy says, "I don't want our son thinking it's ok to objectify women this way." Frank says,"Honey, he'll do it even without the pictures. It's how boys are drawn to girls, 'Object of Desire'." Nancy says,"I see, so am I an object of desire to you?" Frank says, "You mean right this minute?"
I wonder what Nancy’s reaction would be if instead of a Playboy, it had been a Penthouse, especially considering that Penthouse was not only more graphic than Playboy at that time, but even more so than it had been in previous years.
