Brad works under the hood of the car. Diane says, "Y'know, Brad, in some ways, cars and women are similar." Diane says, "They both enjoy loving care and attention. They both want respect, and they both prefer a smooth clean highway to a dirt path filled with potholes." Brad says, "Is there some message here or something?" Diane says, "Big potholes"
So basically for her Brad is like a dirty path.
