Bernice says to Luann, "Hard as it is for you to believe, there are things in life better than boyfriends, like canine companions for independence. They provide dogs to assist people with disabilities." Bernice continues, "I'm a puppy raiser. I'll love and nurture Royce for a year. Then he'll go back to CCI for special training." Bernice says to Luann, "After that, he'll be paired with his new companion." Luann replies, "So you give him your life, then he leaves for someone else. How is this better than a boyfriend?"
Things in life that are better than boyfriends?! BLASPHEMY!! Somebody call the funny farm! Poor Bernice’s brain has turned to oatmeal. And I mean the bland kind, not the kind with sprinkles!
