Bernice sits on the floor playing with Royce and says to Luann, "Too bad Puddles isn't as smart as Royce." Luann replies, "Well, he may be dim but he's a sweetie." Luann gently scrataches Puddles's head and playfully says to him, "Puddles is my little couch potato, isn't he? Yes! he's Pud the spud! Yes, he is!" Puddles thinks to himself, "Pud the spud?"
