Luann announces to her parents, "Well, the time has come. I'm ready for the next big step in my life." Her Mom and Dad look concerned. Her father says, "...Big Step?" Luann continues, "I know this is hard for you guys, but it's part of growing up. Everyone my age is doing it and I want to do it too." Her parents look worried. Her father asks, "Um ... IT?" Luann excitedly says, "Driving test. I wanna take my driving test." Her parents look stunned. Her dad says, "OH! THAT it. Well, good! I think..." Her mother mutters "Whoa."
