"My brother's really serious about gettin' fit for the fire academy. Hits the gym every day." "Gonna be buffed Brad with the bulging bod, huh?" "Yeah, how weird will that be? All these years I've had a lazy, worthless blob to pick on." "Without Brad, I won't have a loser to blame my miserable life on." "Nope. Just yourself."
Some friendships don’t make sense; they just survive somehow. For example…even though we’re post-college, I just found out that a high-school friend has a condescending attitude toward most of what my life is currently composed of… it makes it rather difficult to respond to her. It’s also very awkward trying to explain to people why I consider her a friend. We share more complaint topics, than joyful topics, typically. Guess we basically act as “vents” for each other. Shrugs
