Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for July 29, 2008
Transcript:
Luann: ...and the library may hire me! I need a car! so...? Mom: Leave us a minute so dad and I can talk, ok? Mom: She makes a strong case. Can you think of a reason to say "no"? Dad: I'm the father of a teen girl. Thinking of reasons to say "no" is what I do. Mom: Well, I think it's time for Luann to have her own car. You're always telling her to grow up. So let her. Dad: That's "eat your veggies" grow up. Not "get a car" grow up.
I think that is the core conflict of every good parent. The sitcom Reba did the same thing in it’s final season.
