Toni: "What are you talking about Brad?" Brad: "I dunno. The timing of this explosion just seems strange" Toni: "Maybe you should ask TJ about it" Brad: "Oh, right. "Hey, TJ, did you blow up your truck for the insurance money?"" TJ: "What?" Brad: "What? No, nothin'! I said "Your truck blowing up wasn't funny""
@meh~thodology: I don’t see a slanderous statement there. It wasn’t a statement, it was a question.
I don’t insist that TJ needs to go to jail, but I do think it’s past time for him to learn a Valuable Life Lesson. It’s personal prejudice on my part, but I like to see some growth in characters, and TJ, like poor Knute, has been so typecast for so long, that they just don’t interest me any more.
I’d like to see the legal action result in a whacking great fine, or perhaps the loan he took out to buy the truck and fix it up becomes immediately payable in full. One way or another, Daddy’s trust money is either seized or not enough. In this scenario, he has to hustle to make a living and knows he’s got a police record, so he’d better the heck keep his nose extremely clean.
I don’t expect that’ll happen, but TJ long ago ceased being interesting to me because he’s so damn predictable. He’s crooked and thinks he’s a lot smarter than he really is. He hasn’t learned anything new in years!
I used to have friends like that, until I decided to upgrade to a better class of friends.
