Mom: I worry about Luann's trip. Pru's idea of New York is so...exotic. Dad: Hon, there comes a day when you have to let go and just trust our daughter. Now go to sleep. Mom: She's going to visit the museum of sex with Pru's pal ecstasy.
Luann Comic Team – in case you’ve forgotten, Luann is now no longer in high school. She is college age. At that age, parents aren’t much part of their lives, so please cut down on strips on the parents. One strip a couple weeks would suffice. It is boring to read about parents because parental behaviors and actions are almost universal of which we all are familiar with. This is the third strip this week featuring the parents – about them worrying about Luann’s trip to NYC…how droll. We don’t need to read about that – we know parents worry about children. If Luann were still in high school and going to NYC and staying with Pru’s friends, THAT would be different and comic strip-worthy.
