-st. Patrick was not Irish. he wsa born in roman britain around 400 A.D. -he converted pagan irish clans to christianity. -st. patrick was never canonized by a pope. -irish immigrants brought the st. patrick tradition to america in the 1700s. -March 17th commemorates his death.
The DeGroots are surely of Dutch ancestry. Why are they so dedicated to observing St. Patrick’s Day?
