Les, let her finish the sentence…

Leslie, let Prudence finish! (Brace yourself, lad.)

Les won’t take this well at all.

Apparently Pru hasn’t learned how to lead her statement with the most relevant part. What does foster care have to do with why she can’t date him (at least compared to the whole “incompatible orientation” thing)? It’s like all her common sense just disappears whenever Les is involved. I think TV Tropes calls this “holding the Idiot Ball.”

Pru finishing her sentence will be like a sentence for Leslie after he has built all his hopes and dreams.

It would be amazing if they were related somehow! Double whammy!

We have something else in common. Your name is Les, and well…

After Pru gets it all out – they might actually be friends. Lord knows – Les needs a friend – and doesn’t seem to have one. Ma Berger tried to hook Les up with Gunther – not fair to Gunther in his captive state.

Mrscook2you, that is exactly what I was thinking, that they might be related, in fact that might even be brother and sister somehow. Or at least cousins. I mean the hair is so close, they really kind of favor each other, with that black hair. Growing up in foster care, this might be a Spring surprise arc. One thing for sure, Les seems more like a decent person, even friendly around Pru. Maybe he might be a sympathetic guy after all.

Her comment is curious. Perhaps she was going to tell him that she was abused by her foster father or brother, and got permanently turned off to guys. That’s about all I can speculate. Otherwise, I don’t see how the “foster care” could be very relevant to the issue.

I think people need to look at this totally different. Clues are everywhere. He does not look at her as a girlfriend. She thought that might be the problem. She wants to tell him about her, and instead of just coming right out and saying “I am a lesbian” as some people seem so intent she does, she goes into her history, And lo and behold, he has a similar history. Notice by the way how similar that black hair is on both of them? The late Kenny Stabler, a great quarterback with the Raiders and the Saints was good at doing the misdirection play, where he would juke the defensive linemen to think the running back was going one way, but he would hand off the ball, and the running back would go the other way having pulled the linemen in the wrong direction. I think that is what is happening here, and GE is a master at doing that. We will see.

But Les has a mom, one he makes payments to for some unknown thing, I’m assuming she paid to get him out of some kind of trouble. That doesn’t sound like the kind of mom who would give up a son to foster care. And if she did, I would think that she would be owing Les something, not the other way around. Could Les be lying to try to create a bond with Pru out of nothing?

No, No, No, Pru. Don’t tell Les Your ‘Orientation’ just yet. Beat around the Bush, Tell Les Unimportant, Uninteresting aspects of Your Life and Draaaaaaag this thing out for a coupla weeks, because We fans just Love pulling Our Hairs out in FRUSTRATION…..,

I think I see what’s coming. Prudence will say something and Leslie will misinterpret it, for example:

1. Prudence: I grew up in foster care and. Leslie: Hey! So did I. We’re like soulmates.

2. Prudence: I bat for the other team. Leslie: Hey! So did I and my team still won. We’re like soulmates.

3. Prudence: I am a woman who wears comfortable shoes. Leslie: Hey! So do I. We’re like sole-mates.

4. Prudence: I am a woman who rides on the ‘other’ bus. Leslie: Hey! So do I. I can’t afford a car. We’re like soulmates.

5. Prudence: I am a Friend of Dorothy. Leslie: Hey! So am I. I love that movie. We’re like soulmates.

6. Prudence: I am a Vagitarian. Leslie: Hey! So am I. I love to eat me some vegetables. We’re like soulmates.

Les is lying to Pru. We know Les has a mom and Per Mr Gray, Mrs B and Les , he grp a dad . He told Gunther that his dad was a cop and was killed when Les was like 6. Mr Gray told Les he gave him the job as a favor to his mother. ( presumably mr Gray’s sister. But in the meantime, let’s let Pru finish and tell him she is a Lesbian . I wonder if Les will accept it quietly or think that he can change her orientation . I wonder if this will mellow Les out and have him become a better person… naah that would be to boring. Les is the proverbial villain right now so they can’t let him get all nicey nicey.

Les is thick as a brick.

Saturday’s conversation will take Prudence away from her point. She won’t get to the sexual preference part. Greg & Karen will leave us with another hanging arc.

Les reminds me of the tagline for the movie, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen: “Adventure, comedy, romance… he was full of it.”

What does growing up in foster care have to do with Pru being a lesbian? I hope the Evanses aren’t going to try to claim she met someone at one of these homes who “turned her lesbian” or some kind of retrograde B.S. like that.

Wonder what Les is going to do with that glass of iced tea when he finds out?

This has Skywalker familiy reunion written all over it. On a side note, it’s been nice seeing Les without a scowl the last few weeks….

Foster Care?! Isn’t that what the GOP is trying to substitute for Obamacare?

Yep, they’re soulmates…in some weird Star Trek “Mirror, Mirror” Good Les/ Evil Les, Straight Pru / Gay Pru kind of way.

I want to see that moment Les gets his heart broken.

The problem is I don’t see Les as the open minded sort and once he learns the truth he might make trouble for Pru.

How is it that not a single person here has considered the possibility that Pru ended up in foster care because her birth family kicked her out when they found out that she was a lesbian?

Why would Les grow up in foster care? He has a mom and an uncle. Surely one of them could have taken care of him?

Pru was NOT going to say “I grew up in foster and and I’m gay”. That would not make any sense at all, the two are not related. No, she has something else to tell Les that does have to do with growing up in foster care.

Pru, not realizing Les wanted a date was your mistake, don’t lecture him.

Here we go: How about (tongue firmly in cheek): Les I’ve been telling everyone that I,m gay, but the truth is that I can’t fight the feelings that I have for you so I am going back in the closet and out the other door. We two crazy kids can make it in this crazy world as long as we have each other. Or, you could, like, you know, get a make over?

They do not have time for a a conversation now. Les needs to deliver that drink to the customer and take her order. The chat will have to wait until later.

Not quite sure what foster care has to do with anything. Maybe they ARE related in some way. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess.

Everyone seeems to think that Pru ‘owes’ it to Les to come out. No. All she has to do is tell him she isn’t interested. Your sexual orientation is something you choose to tell the people you trust, not something to tell someone to get them to stop bothering you. (That doesn’t mean I don’t want to see Pru come out tomorrow though…)
