There’s still something off about the lingerie party scam.

Tara is so far out of Les’ league… “I’m not buying” is perfect.

A wonderfully drawn strip today! Notice how Les can’t take his eyes off Tara, even when he’s talking to Luann? And his attempt to look absolutely innocent as he tries to get Tara to spill her measurements? Love it!

Luann in the meantime is clueless…

OK. I think we’ve established that Tara doesn’t wear underwear. We get the point.

Possibly the only context in which you can ask a woman you’ve just met for her measurements. Because, y’know, you need to have stuff in her size for the party when she attends in case she wants to buy something right then.

On the other hand, she could just be buying gifts for friends and family.

It’s not about you, Luann.

I remember there used to be descriptions of all the characters on this website written in the voice of Luann. She described Bernice as being skinny while uncomfortably noting that Luann was “not”. Luann seems to have grown into her body since then.

This flashback arc ain’t over until that white paper goes up.

Or even longer, until people come out after it is over.

Tara is so not buying it, she is going to convince Luann to stick around to find out just what really is going on.

There is something really strange about this “lingerie” party thing. So they are doing them weekly, monthly? Obviously, it’s some kind of ongoing scam, and waiting for the police to show up and raid the party. I don’t trust Ann Eifel at all….and Les not much more than Ann. And we haven’t seen Prudence in a long time, and she was the one that set this up with AE. Hmmm, the plot continues to thicken…

Okay, I knew Luann was a dim bulb, but this is a bit ridiculous even for her.

Well it’s Offical I guess.

Tiffany is the about the ONLY Gal so far to ever “Fall” for Les’ line of B-S. No wonder Gunther is so reluctant with Her.

Maybe it Time Old Needle Nose showed Tara the old “Cherry Trick.”

Somehow I had a feeling Luann would find a way to play the “parent card”…

Wouldn’t the guest list be up to Ann, who runs the event? Ann’s renting the place, Luann’s parents don’t have anything to do with private functions. I’m guessing Luann still doesn’t know that Ann Eiffel is involved? I would think that Ann would see Luann’s name on the list and cross her off immediately.

NO way LuAnn’s measurements are that big!

Les says to Tara (but not Luann) “I need your phone number to confirm your reservation.” Tara replies icily, “911.”

Luann is a babe, but compared to Tara she is normal while Tara is drawn as more adventurous, desirable, attractive, and definitely piquing Les’s interest. Poor Luann is being ignored because of Tara being the way she is, but as seems to be the early take, Tara sees right through Les’s subtle passes, and certainly knows how to handle herself. My question is are we going to continue with this arc on Monday, or jump to another one. I bet we stay here for now.

The lingerie party is a con, Tara’s door swings both ways. End of story, let’s get back to Tiff sweating off those extra pounds.

I think Tara is seeing Les as one of those “bad crowd” people she got in trouble with at Moony Uni.

Luann is still so naïve.

I was surprised at how cooperative (eager?) Luann was to share her measurements. She doesn’t seem that naive. Is she, perhaps, a little vain about her measurements, which seem a bit more voluptuous than I had thought?

I think this week’s strips are the precursor to Luann finally seeing Ann and alerting the others that there’s a snake in the hen house. Les’ job might be compromised.

Now this is what flirting looks like. Les is trying very hard, and I think Tara is a little amused by him. I think they may hit it off. They are both impulsive and adventurous. I think Tara would be good for Les.

36 is a good number, luann, but is there an A, B or C after that?

The old TV show, It Takes A Thief, comes to mind. Tara’s onto Les … and not in a physical way, either! ;)

Sunday: Frank and Nancy: that wild and crazy couple!

I think Luann has overestimated herself in all three measurements. But, be that as it may, Tara has seen through Leslie’s flimsy pretext and cut him off at the, uhh…, pass (shall we say?). He ain’t such a Big Man with her….

I think with those measurements, Luann would look curvier. Tara should ask Les for his length, just to be fair. He’d lie anyway. Honestly, I don’t like that the Evanses went down the numbers route.

I think that Frank and Nancy are capable of generating more heat than any of the kids.

With Thanksgiving coming up next week, this Luann and Tara sisomance will be shelved and we well see the DeGroots preparing for Turkey Day.

I’m not buying, either.

Since Luann’s parents own the building what Less and his mother are doing is illegal or unethical at the very least.
