My 10-year-old learned cursive back in second grade, all their subsequent work has to be in cursive. I use the computer more than her – she’d rather curl up and read a book. She devours books like Grover devours cookies. There IS hope for the next generation.
Don’t you use cursive when you write a check? Wait?Do people still pay with checks?I wrote a lot of them when I was still working and the company wanted them written out in a very specific fashion…no spaces.

I’ve overheard parents talking, concerned that, because of keyboarding, their kids aren’t learning any kind of handwriting..

I work with an engineer and they had to make him quit writing in the logbooks at our machines because we couldn’t read his printing.
