I do think Bibi has weilded a heavy hand, though not fully undeserved. And we (U.S.) are held culpable. When the U.S. went back on FDR’s word to Saudi King Azziz, and supported the State of Israel, we signed up for the entire run. Thus committed, if we backed out now, every Arab country in the region would attack, and “cleanse” the region. Either our national leaders (then & now) lack the ability to look far into the future, or just know how to take bribes.
Our envoys are trying to step between combatants in a truly heinous brawl, that was at the very least allowed by Netanyahu’s carelessness, and at worst, secretly orchestrated by Netanyahu to use as an excuse to take control of Gaza and the West Bank.
